The second leg of the evening series was, like the first round adversely impacted by the weather. A lengthy thunderstorm a couple of hours before the start of the match resulted in masses of hail being deposited in the pond causing the water temperature to drop considerably. This made the fishing much hard than it would otherwise have been. The unseasonable weather also affected the turn out with only 4 fishing. Wayne Hayes took the match with a whip caught net of small roach, rudd and skimmers, where the rest of the field fished for better fish which largely failed to show.
